PSHE Policy

PSHE provides children at Bayford with the skills to help build respectful and understanding relationships.  Children are taught how to be healthy, independent and responsible members of society and all sessions aim to develop a sense of self-worth. Children are all encouraged to play a positive role in contributing to school life and the wider community through School Council, fundraising events, supporting nominated charities and involvement in community activities.

Children are given opportunities in PSHE lessons and collective worship to develop confidence, self-motivation and an understanding of their rights and responsibilities within our diverse society.  PSHE is also developed through other areas of the curriculum and we actively promote British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance for those with different faiths and beliefs, encouraging everyone within our Bayford community to respect others.
