British Values

To see how we promote British Values at Bayford please see our statement here.

During the autumn term we held a Magna Carta week where the children took part in a variety of activities and lessons based around the 800 year old document. Children learned why this was such an important part of history and how it has affected the lives of people throughout history right up to this day.

The children of the student council worked alongside a local artist to create a school mural about the Magna Carta to help promote British Values within our school.

During Magna Carta week children in Class 3 performed the poem King John by Hugh Chesterman.

We were also visited by author Chris Lloyd who held a very engaging workshop for both parents and children, discussing the content of his book "The Magna Carta Chronicla - A Young Person's Guide to 800 Years in the Fight for Freedom".
